 24 August 2023   Three days after joining the class, the Onam celebration came up. The college was filled with vibrant colors, as everyone showed up in traditional attire. The festivities began with a pookkalam competition, where our class proudly secured the second prize. This was followed by a grand thiruvathira performance, with three teams showcasing this traditional dance on campus.    The celebrations continued with an ona sadhya, a sumptuous traditional feast that we all enjoyed together. The afternoon was lively with various stage programs, including group dances and songs. Onam games like kalamadi and vadamvali added to the fun, making St. Jacob's Onam a truly joyful and memorable day. 

 21 August 2023, my first day at St. Jacob's Training College. I reached the college early in the morning. I was nervous and anxious about the new environment. Although classes had commenced in the second week of August itself, I was delayed by two weeks due to my ongoing PG exams. Despite my initial anxiety and nervousness about not knowing anyone there, the experience turned out better than I had anticipated.   In those first moments, I felt uncertain and out of place. However, I soon met Anna, who quickly became a close friend and a reliable source of support, helping me navigate the demanding schedules and assignments. The welcoming attitude of my classmates further eased my transition. They were patient and kind, allowing me the necessary time to adjust and adapt to the new environment. Before long, I found myself becoming an active member of the St. Jacob's family.
