 The Christmas Celebration 2024 at St. Jacob’s Training College, Menamkulam , was held on 20th December 2024 with the theme “Sleigh Ride.” The program began with a Welcome Address by Adarsh V. S. , Chairperson of AAGAZ 2024-26, followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. Lidson Raj J. , Principal of the college. Rev. Dr. Thadayoose Philip , Vice Principal and Bursar, shared the Christmas Message. The celebrations included a cake-cutting ceremony and a Carol Song performance by S1 students, creating a festive atmosphere. Felicitations were delivered by Mr. P. Manoharan , PTA Vice President, and Mr. Subin S. , Chairperson of AAVAZ 2023-25. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Megha Anna Thomas , Coordinator, followed by a Christmas Lunch, Gift Exchange , and a special program titled “Canvas of Christmas – A Journey to the Saviour.” The celebration was a joyous and memorable occasion for everyone.

 As part of an innovative teaching approach, a teacher trainee created an e-content module on poetic devices in English. The content covered key literary elements such as alliteration, assonance, simile, and personification, making complex concepts more accessible and engaging for students. This digital resource provided interactive explanations and examples, helping students understand and appreciate the beauty of poetry. The initiative aimed to enhance learning through technology, making the study of poetic devices both informative and enjoyable

 College Union Inauguration 2k24-25 The College Union and Arts Club inauguration of St. Jacob's Training College for the academic year 2024-2025 was held on Friday, 6th December 2024 , at 10:00 AM in the College Auditorium. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Reshma Ragavendra , a renowned playback singer. The program began with a prayer song by the College Choir, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Miss. Vaishnavi , General Secretary of the College Union. Dr. Lidson Raj , the Principal, delivered the message, and the Presidential Address was given by Mr. Adarsh V. S. , Chairman of the College Union. The formal inauguration of the Union and Arts Club by the chief guest was the highlight of the event. The dignitaries, including Fr.   Arts Day at Our College Arts Day at our college, aptly named Dwani , began with a burst of creativity and enthusiasm. The event was a celebration of talent and artistic expression, with students divided into four houses competing against each other. The day featured a variety of on-stage and off-stage events, ensuring that every participant had a platform to showcase their skills. On-stage events included mesmerizing dance performances, soulful music recitals, and dramatic theatrical acts. Meanwhile, off-stage events focused on literary talents, such as poetry writing, essay competitions, and debates, which highlighted the intellectual prowess of the students. The competition was fierce, but it brought out the best in everyone, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy rivalry. Dwani was not just a celebration of arts but also a testament to the vibrant cultural life of our college.

  Sports Day at Our College Our college hosted its annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy. The event began with a grand opening ceremony, featuring the hoisting of the flag and a motivational address by the principal. The highlight of the day was the athletics events, which included sprints, long-distance races, relays, and field events like long jump and shot put. Among the participants, Nanda was crowned the Sportsman of the Year for his outstanding performance in multiple events, while Nisha earned the title of Sportswoman of the Year for her remarkable achievements on the field. Their dedication and spirit truly inspired everyone. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were celebrated for their hard work and talent. The Sports Day was a resounding success, fostering a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity among students and staff. It was a day to remember for all!

40th Day

 40th Day of School Internship Date: 22/11/2024 School: St. Joseph’s HSS, Palayam Today marked the 40th and final day of Phase 1 of our school internship at St. Joseph’s HSS, Palayam. The day began as usual with the morning assembly, where students and teachers gathered for prayers and announcements. Following the assembly, we proceeded with our regular classes, ensuring that lessons were delivered effectively and that students were engaged in the learning process. During the sessions, we focused on completing the planned topics and revising key concepts to consolidate students’ understanding. The students were attentive and cooperative, making the classes productive and fulfilling. The usual school activities, including serving the midday meal, were carried out smoothly with the support of all trainees.      As part of our school internship activities, we conducted a conscientization programme for 8th Standard students on the topic of entrepreneurship. The session aimed to inspire students to think innovatively and understand the significance of entrepreneurial skills in the modern world.      The programme began with a video presentation, which provided an engaging introduction to entrepreneurship, showcasing real-life examples of successful entrepreneurs. This visual medium captured the students' attention and set the tone for the session.      Following this, Stephy Tom delivered an informative slideshow presentation, breaking down the concept of entrepreneurship into simple, relatable ideas. (18/10/2024) St.Joseph’s HSS Palayam  Day 36: School Internship Report On the 36th day of our school internship, we actively participated in the morning assembly, which set a positive tone for the day. Afterward, we conducted a conscientization program on entrepreneurship for the 8th Standard students. The session aimed to create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurial skills, innovation, and self-reliance. We used engaging teaching aids and interactive activities to capture the students' interest and ensure they understood the concept effectively. Their participation and enthusiasm made the session a success. In addition to this, we continued with regular classroom duties, teaching and assisting students in their lessons. During the noon break, we helped serve the midday meal to students. The day concluded with afternoon classes, which proceeded smoothly. It was a fulfilling and productive day that combined academic and skill-building activities.
