Day 21 (25/10/2024) St. Joseph’s HHS Palayam  Today was a regular day in our school internship. The day began with usual routines, including classroom management and engaging students in their studies. We took the opportunity to observe and guide students as they participated in group music practice. This involved helping them coordinate timing, rhythm, and voice projection, ensuring they stayed focused and engaged. Supporting this practice was both enjoyable and valuable, as it allowed us to connect with students outside the typical academic environment. Later in the day, we had a meeting with the Headmaster to discuss and clarify our substitution duties. This meeting was essential for understanding our responsibilities when covering for absent teachers, and it helped streamline our schedule for the upcoming days. The conversation also provided insights into managing different classroom dynamics effectively during substitution periods. The day concluded with our regular duti...

Weekly Report: First Week of Teaching Practice My first week of teaching practice at St. Joseph's HSS Palayam was a short but fulfilling experience. Although we only had three days of class, I managed to get two periods with the 9th standard students. I taught them a lesson from the "Aspire and Explore" unit, focusing on the theme of dreams and aspirations, which sparked some insightful discussions. On Friday, the school held an assembly, and it was great to see the students' enthusiasm. I also helped coordinate the off-stage competitions for the upcoming youth festival and played a role in maintaining discipline. Overall, it was a good start to my internship, blending both teaching and active participation in school events.
